Projects the candidate will be working on:

  • Using primarily C#, SQL with the Facets database and other data sharing areas, the work entails supporting existing stored procedures and DotNet applications for ETL, reporting, and related activities.

Ideal Background:

  • Programming in a healthcare insurance company..

Team and Team size:

  • Team of 6 developers. 1 Manager. Along with 3 other developer teams on occasion. Working with Rally in an Agile fashion. Some work with ServiceNow will also happen. On the job training for that software will be provided
  • All developers have C# and SQL programming capabilities. Everybody works in Facets. Half of the team will work on 'Payment' related. The other half on 'Provider' related work. This candidate will work in the Provider area. The ability to write cohesively to help with refining 'User Stories' is an expected skill to grow.

Top Responsibilities:

  • Write and maintain stored procedures. Write and maintain C# applications. Use Jenkins & GitHub for code repository.
  • Monitor ServiceNow for work coming in to either work or assign to other developers. Write and refine User Stories. Potentially work off-hours to support broken ETL related items.

Skills/attributes Required

  • 3+ years with Transact SQL. 3+ years with C#. 1+ year working with the Facets database (Cognizant/Trizetto).

Skills/attributes Preferred

  • Ability to read and write email to be able to articulate what relevant questions are. Be honest in delivery expectations.
  • (Such as: "I've not done that before. I think we could try this or that.
  • Give me 2 days to investigate and come back with what I've learned for a better delivery estimation.").
  • Speaking up in meetings.
