Job description

Human Resources Business Partner I – COVID Intake Support Role (Part-time contract)

What You'll Do

  • Serve as primary point of contact to answer COVID-related questions from employees/managers across the business. Email response time is expected to be within 1 business day, with some weekend hours as needed.
  • Performs a variety of tasks and requires good communications skills with the ability to work with users diplomatically and skillfully.
  • The tasks related to this role includes but is not limited to:
  • Providing guidance to employee based on their situation related to existing company policy on positive cases and close contacts.
  • Enter/update appropriate information on COVID-19 tracking sheet.
  • Conduct contact tracing activities.
  • Tracking employees who are out of the office due to COVID related circumstances, provide guidance based on progress/updates in order to providing clearance to return to work.
  • Effectively communicate with Human Resources Business Partners, the Environmental Safety and Health team and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation records (both hardcopy and electronic).
  • May develop procedures for the efficient operation of the help desk functions and participates in process improvement activities.
  • Maintain documentation records to log and track problems and resolutions as appropriate.
  • Leverage tools and processes in place to quickly and effectively resolve end-user questions or issues.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Exemplify Diversity and Inclusion and maintain an environment that emphasizes employee satisfaction.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Maintain a work schedule that can respond to the dynamic contact patterns of employees.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

What You'll Need

  • BS/BA degree in a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience problem solving with minimal supervision, professionally handle confidential material and information, maintain discretion and display a high degree of trust.
  • An understanding of HR practices and employment laws.
  • Must have great attention to detail and good follow-up skills, must be able to use initiative when presenting solutions to management.
  • Must have excellent computer skills such as Word, Excel, Windows, HRIS experience, etc.
  • Relevant industry experience and/or government contractor experience a plus.
  • Strong written/verbal communication, presentation, and conflict management skills.
  • Self-directed and motivated. Must be able to manage multiple conflicting priorities.
  • Must be a team player and able to work with consensus decision making.

In compliance in compliance with state laws and regulations related to job posting requirements, the salary range for this role is $15.00 -$115.00 per hour (hourly rates in other locations could differ). This is not a guarantee of compensation, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
