Team Introduction

• The Digital Portal Monitoring team supports the health of critical member-facing websites by providing real-time insights into technology performance to ensure members are successful in the interactions with digital assets.
• The team accomplishes this goal by architecting dashboards, creating alerting and developing synthetic monitoring scripts using Grafana, Datadog, Dynatrace and other tools to present complex data in intuitive ways for consumption by multiple stakeholders to influence the organization for better digital operations.

Role Introduction

• This role will require a blend of analytical and project management skills to drive deliverables in the space of dashboard development, data research, quality assurance. Someone detail oriented will excel at this role to ensure multiple shifting priorities are effectively managed, and help drive progress by enabling forward movement and identifying and removing barriers within the technology itself, team, and within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Must be highly adaptable as project is dynamic and evolving as is approach to guiding the project
• Assist in problem solving, research, analysis to ensure progress on complex dashboard instrumentation challenges
• Facilitate collaboration sessions with team members, external SMEs, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with goals and deliverable outcomes are met
• Manage intake of new work
• Manage work backlog and facilitate prioritization sessions
• Define and track milestones and next steps for in-process deliverables
• Influence team members to prioritize focus appropriately
• Maintain notes and action items
• Understand technology performance monitoring and analytics goals, and help define and create opportunities for improvement
• Develop working knowledge of United Health Group performance monitoring applications (Datadog, Splunk, Dynatrace, New Relic) and data visualization tool (Grafana)
• Understand components to a database query to assist in troubleshooting and instrumentation efforts in collaboration with team members
• Assist in leading & coordinating project tasks in partnership with SMEs that contribute to dashboard development, including scope definition, cataloging inventory, and progress tracking

Qualifications

• Understanding of website performance health indicators
• Comfortable in dynamic and fast paced development environments with high levels of ambiguity
• Comfortable driving deliverables forward when next steps are not easily clear and identified
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with a history of hands-on, detail orientation

• Ability to quickly acquire and apply knowledge
