- Responsible for managing complex and high risks projects.
- Oversees project budgets and schedules.
- Manage day-to-day aspects of project scope.
- Minimizes project risk.
- Creates and manages project work plans and work breakdown structures
- Performs research to understand the accounting consequences of alternative approaches.
- Reviews financial data and provide proactive, clear and actionable recommendations and alternatives to management.
- Provide project management, leadership and coordination for one or more projects.
- Leads team to achieve approved project scope, develops strategic sequencing and detailed milestone schedules.
- Document key processes and actions taken by program and provide details to management.
- Work with business cases to validate scope, timing and value of projects. Role requires a thorough knowledge of accounting and finance principles, experience in auditing financial data, excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present financial analysis to management. •
Percent of Time
- Perform research on financial data and align with contract and project plans. Analyze cost structure and provide recommendations to management. Review current and past accounting practices and provide recommendations on corrective actions.
- Prepare and produce project management reports, timelines, and documentation as guided by controller. Independently manage and build project plan deliverables for directed scope. Provide tracking of milestones and project deliverables. Identify plan gaps and develop closure plans. Ensure the successful completion of assigned project deliverables & milestones in a dynamic/complex environment.
- Performs and assists with special projects as assigned.
- Document key processes of supported areas to ensure consistency and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Provide proactive process improvement recommendations and assist in implementing the accepted solutions.
- Minimum four years’ experience in general financial accounting or analysis with experience in forensic accounting or auditing preferred. Bachelor's degree in Accounting,
- Finance or related business degree or a combination of equivalent education and experience. CPA, CMA or MBA preferred. Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Demonstrated skills in analysis, problem solving, customer service and relationship building desired. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint software and have a working knowledge of SAP
