- 5+ years hands-on Java, Spring Batch, RESTful Microservices and Design patterns
- 3+ years with Spring Batch based batch processes
Team and Team size:
- The team consists of 20+ engineers and a larger business and PMO organization
Top Responsibilities:
- Analyze requirements and implement software solutions using Java 8, Spring 5.1.8, Spring Batch and SQL Server 2016 or higher
- Analyze existing software functionality and code to identify cause of bugs and design solutions
- Create and maintain technical artifacts such as data model and technical design specifications
- Perform all phases of software engineering including requirements analysis, application design, code development and testing
- Design and develop reusable components, frameworks and libraries
- Work with Product owners, business analysts, architects, developers and other stakeholders to groom & solution features
- Review code and approve code merges, providing technical guidance & best practices
- Leads small projects, mentor, train other team members and facilitate onboarding and ongoing training
- Provide input to forecasting and planning activities.
Skills/attributes Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Overall 8+ years with of experience with Object Oriented Design and Development with progressive responsibilities
- 5+ years hands-on Java, Spring Batch, RESTful Microservices and Design patterns
- 3+ years with Spring Batch based batch processes
- 3+ years’ experience with SQL Server and ability to write and tune advanced SQL queries
- 2+ years writing unit or integration tests using Junit, etc.
- 2+ year of Experience working with Agile Methodology and Experience with agile management tools such as Rally or JIRA
- Working knowledge of Git, Jenkins and containerization
- Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals: unit testing, code reviews, agile and DevOps.
- Demonstrate ownership, independence, collaboration, analytical mindset and solution thinking
- Ability to document work, articulate thoughts clearly in English and work with stakeholders such as BAs, PMs and QAs
Skills/attributes Preferred
- UI development using Angular 6.0
- Mainframe or COBOL
- Integration tools such as MuleSoft, etc
- Data conversion and data deidentification techniques
