Projects the candidate will be working on:
- member portal
- Has a number of critical API services that other cross - functional teams like Rally Health, H4Me, Live and Work Well etc. are dependent. It is important to have a stable non-production and production environments to reduce any potential impacts from deployments and any infrastructure changes.
- Besides managing and establishing governance processes, the resources who would be part of the production support team would also be accountable to manage the incident remediation process and co-ordinate with other teams for any issues that would have impacted the services
Ideal Background:
- Extensive experience with production support capabilities such as fluent with application monitoring tools, coordination with necessary teams to resolve production issues, excellent communication skills, etc.
Team and Team size:
- Part of a team.
- Production support team - 3 onshore and 3 offshore
Top Responsibilities:
- Monitor the environment health and drive improvements to enhance availability and performance
- Execute processes and activities that focus on restoring service after an incident occurs
- Participate in an on - call rotation with other team members
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of issues, including in-depth technical analysis, troubleshooting, analyzing, root cause and engaging appropriate SMEs as needed to drive incident management
- Create and drive permanent solutions and improvements after root cause is identified
- Identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiencies
- Develop and/or update Standard Operating Procedures as needed
- Provide support for code deployments
Software tools/skills:
- SOAP UI, Reflection, putty, Jenkins, GitHub, AntHill Pro, TOAD/Aqua Studio/SQL Developer
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of Technical Applications support preferably in a hosted services environment
- 3+ years of technical experience with the following:
- UNIX based operating systems
- Build and Deployments
- Relational Databases (mySQL, DB2)
- Strong troubleshooting and analysis skills
- Microsoft Office Suite experience
Skills/attributes:
- Very Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Able to drive issues independently by reviewing server application logs
- Able to work with different teams (Infrastructure, DBA, System Admins, Developers)
- Application build and deployment process
- Able to write and run queries against mySQL, and DB2 DB
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with Dynatrace, New Relic, Splunk, AWS, Datadog, Websphere Administration
- Knowledge with service oriented architecture and API management tools
- Healthcare IT experience
