 Job Description:

  • Magellan is a global business transformation program accompanying a move of our ERP system from ECC to S4 HANA. Magellan’s goal is to simplify, standardise and modernise our core business processes, enabling BSC to better leverage the power of data and to position our business for profitable and sustainable growth.
  • Reporting to the Logistics Product Owner, the Technical Writer will support the scrum team.
  • They will plan the layout and content of documents and templates to be updated, created or deleted.
  • They will enforce the Company Quality System standards.
  • They will interpret and advocate industry technical writing standards and adapt them to Company's needs.
  • They will initiate, coordinate, and lead cross-functional writing to meet program’s requirements.
  • This job is the fully qualified career-oriented position.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Plan, analyse, and create logistics/distribution documentation using technical writing theories, methods, and tools.
  • Enforce the Company Quality System standards. Interpret and advocate industry technical writing standards and adapt them to Company's needs.
  • Ensure document content quality by consistently managing and organizing information for accuracy and readability.
  • Identify, analyse, recommend, and implement solutions to cross-functional projects relating to technical writing and business process efficiencies.
  • Establish and manage relationships from document to document, within document content, or to other points of reference for product information across the Magellan Program.

What we’re looking for in you:

  • Basic qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, degree in technical writing or related technical field such as engineering or biology preferred.
  • 5-7 years of technical writing experience
  • Seasoned, experienced professional with a complete understanding and wide application of principle, theories, and concepts in the field
  • Full understanding of area of specialization to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways
  • General knowledge of other related disciplines, business unit function and cross group dependencies/relationships
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word templates

Preferred qualifications:

  • Microsoft Visio experience desired.
  • Medical device or other regulated industry experience preferred.
  • Ability to work both in collaboration with others on a project team and independently on tasks.
  • Ability and desire to keep track of document and project details.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently on documents and tasks while still maintaining high quality in work.
  • Ability to shape, establish, communicate and engage teams in the vision and strategy of SAP procedures in the overall Magellan Transformation Program.
  • Proactive work habits and assertiveness in creating and owning documents.
  • Ability to collaborate and work across a global team.
  • Ability to create a sense of energy, excitement, and personal commitment to the organization by empowering others, rewarding and celebrating superior performance, and creating an inclusive workplace across many locations.
  • Demonstrated capability in collaborating and influencing across complex projects.
  • Demonstrated high degree of integrity, professionalism, and the ability to establish credibility.
  • High sense of urgency and commitment to execution.
  • Previous experience of Agile or Scaled Agile methodology, design thinking, and lean rituals will be an advantage but not essential.
  • Proven adaptability, comfortable with change and with a demonstrated ability to react and response to a fast-changing environment.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Well networked, known, credible and respected within BSC.
  • Aptitude to understand engineering and other technical information.
  • SAP knowledge is desirable.
  • Project management and time management skills.
  • Problem solving skills and an ability to respond and adapt to change is desired.
