Projects the candidate will be working on:

  • Working on a cloud based platform. Maintaining and updating the infrastructure for performance. Working on incoming production issues. Solving complex problems that are impeding the application workflows. Managing O&M team work load.

Ideal Background:

  • Full Stack Software development with Java and Angular. Kubernetes experience and cloud platform knowledge with Azure and OpenShift.

Team and Team size:

  • Team of 6 devs, 2 QA, 1 BA, 1PO, 1 scrum master

Top Responsibilities:

  •  Serve as a lead software developer for the operations and maintenance team for continued improvements on the cloud platform, while building out platform and application monitoring using the latest techniques.
  • Allocated time, on average:
  • 75% coding
  • 25% managing the workload for the O&M team
  • Provide guidance on software solution designs
  • Work across all teams as a subject matter expect
  • Mentor junior software developers on coding designs and best practices

Skills/attributes Required

  • 7+ years of experience with hands on development with Java
  • 7+ years of experience with hands on development with Angular
  • 10+ years of experience in dev
  • 4+ years of experience with integrating services into a cloud architecture
  • 4+ years of experience working with Docker containers
  • 2+ years of experience working with Kubernetes
  • 2+ years of experience with Microservices
  • 2+ years of experience managing team workloads
  • Experience working in Agile environment

Skills/attributes Preferred

  • 2+ years of experience designing and building platform and application monitoring.
  • The ability to execute existing queries as well as write SQL queries of varying complexity
  • Experience with GIT for code repository
  • Experience with Jenkins for deployment automation
  • Understanding of software development processes and methodologies
  • Collaborate in team environment
