  • Audit & Open File Share Remediation
  •  There are several areas that Windows team is involved with the Audit process. There are internal and External Audits. Must be able to get requested data from servers and NAS.
  • Open shares scanning and remediation.
  • Run and maintain PowerShell scripts to scan NAS environment for open shares
  • Review Scan reports for open file shares, maintain list of open shares. Contact owners of shares to lock down shares.
  • Work with BTS Open Systems for correcting open file shares
  • Work with owner to get Exception Form filled out if needed
  • Maintain Open File Exceptions.
  • Maintain Exception forms and website for Open file share Exception.
  • Windows Server Audit contact
  • Main contact for Window Server Audits.
  • Work with Audit teams and BTS Open Systems for Audit needs.
Must know
  • Windows Server Administration
  • WMI
  • PowerShell
  • Some knowledge on NETAPP NAS and HITACHI HDI            

File Share

  • Manage the BTS Managed NTFS File systems on Window Servers and NAS Appliances.
  • This includes NTFS, CIFS, Unix NTFS Hybrid shares. 
  • Scripting in Batch or PowerShell, create AD security groups, and needs to be able to work in teams or individual situations.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Need to know Windows NTFS File Share level and File Level Security. 
  • Knowledge of applications such as Treesize or Security Explorer, keeping tools up to date.

Migration Projects

  • Project planning of large migration
  • Maintain scripts and templates
  • Main contact for Manage Service members with questions
  • Window Server
  • Open file share remediation tool like Varonis

Day to day

  • Work with BTS team with File share questions (GAA, EUC…)
  • Create and edit batch and PowerShell Scripts
  • Home share clean up


  • With some work that is not in WiPro’s realm like Accusations and Divestures, The Abbott Staff has to help with these areas.
  •  Migration Projects
  • Day to day activities
  • File share creations
  • Security modifications
  • Incident tickets from Client
  • ePO management
