Projects the candidate will be working on:

  • Architect for State Government Solutions business segment for client MA HIX.
  • Work directly on MA HIX client’s architect on strategic initiatives.
  • Work on technical roadmap, and work with product team.

Experience:

  • Experience with AWS Cloud and Cloud tools.

Top Requirements:

  • a. 5+ years of experience working in architect role
  • b. 5+ years of experience working in cross-functional technical areas such as conceptualize, plan, design, develop and implement
  • c. 5+ years of experience working on DevOps Teams to drive full stack development (example – Java, Spring Boot Application, Micro – service Architecture, SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, Streaming solutions, JavaScripting, Shell Scripting, etc.)

Team and Team size:

  •  1 BA, 1, SA, 3 Data/SQL Engineer, 20 Developers

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business owners, application teams, and the broader technology teams to define/enhance IT solutions to meet both business needs and performance, operational and security requirements
  • Engage in technical discussions as a subject matter expert, have a point of view to offer and have strategic influence with the product, business stakeholders and other engineering teams to design and develop new product offerings and experiences.
  • Work with product team on technical design documents to ensure the design and solution are in alignment with project scope and business and functional requirements, in addition to applicable policies and controls
  • Create and maintain design models with a high degree of complexity that connect multiple domains and technologies and reflect business goals
  • Maintain System Architecture Document (SAD) with each release and get business signoff
  • Provide support to various technical teams to diagnose and troubleshoot Tier 3 incidents (complex and/or critical)
  • Fully understand customer’s product roadmap and various technologies, respond to tactical requests and changes as needed
  • Possess breadth of knowledge spanning all bodies of technologies, e.g., databases, middleware, OS, and public cloud capabilities
  • Understand and manage customer expectations and articulate limitations
  • Understand technological changes and dependencies, document, present and maintain artifacts
  • Identify applicable security/data standards when reviewing requirements and recommends controls to ensure compliance
  • Consider the customer experience, business impact and solution objective when managing risks and designing solutions
  • Monitor system performance for vital business functions and advise corrective actions
  • Analyze the current business, detecting critical deficiencies, and recommending solutions for improvement
  • May work closely with the Implementations and the Product Team and help in architecting the solution for the client implementation, identify feature gaps, work with the Product team to understand which features make sense and which should not be committed.
  • May contribute content to the project cost benefit analysis (CBA) process
  • May direct or lead the build/implementation of technical solutions
  • May direct or lead operational support and transition activities, post implementation of solutions
  • Teach and mentor solution engineering and technical teams on architecture disciplines
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned

Skills/attributes Required

  • 5+ years of experience working in architect role
  • 5+ years of experience working in cross-functional technical areas such as conceptualize, plan, design, develop and implement
  • 5+ years of experience working on DevOps Teams to drive full stack development (example – Java, Spring Boot Application, Micro – service Architecture, SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, Streaming solutions, JavaScripting, Shell Scripting, etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience in Healthcare industry
  • Demonstrate knowledge of applicable IT industry standards, application principles, hardware and software controls, and emerging platform issues
  • Experience with cloud solutions, virtual platforms, software development experience, and operational management practices and frameworks.
  • Agile experience is a plus•Understand Open ID Connect•Understand security, risk and compliance frameworks, disaster recovery, high availability architectures, hardware, operating systems and networking connectivity
  • Excellent written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Understand Affordable Care Act, regulatory affairs and compliance needs for healthcare and healthcare technologies
  • Awareness of AWS or Azure hosting concepts. Working experience on CI/CD methodologies.
  • Experience architecting automated solutions for cloud platform
  • Hands-on experience with Java, JavaScript and SQL, PL/SQL, Spring, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with Open Source technologies from the Apache foundation
  • Experience in monitoring tools like Dynatrace
