Projects the candidate will be working on:

  • This position is required for platform engineering team where we are targeting three main areas by providing engineering teams the ability to self-provision, self-configure, and self-manage and operate the experiences they build on top of a platform.
  • Platform team provides software, tools, and APIs for engineers to do their work, but in addition provides the necessary documentation, templates, guidelines, consulting, and support to enable the engineering teams.
  • As part of Platform engineering, one of the capabilities we are developing is called ‘Composite API Platform’ is a ORx Strategic move towards creating a common reusable platform that implements federated GraphQL microservices using Apollo Gateway.
  • Providing front-end developers, the ability control to explore, construct, validate, test, and accurately perform data-need communications.
  • This platform will provide a single endpoint as well as standardizing on GraphQL query language.
  • The platform will provide access to GraphQL subgraphs in Azure Public Cloud, as well as any on-prem subgraphs.


  • a. Node JS – Minimum 4+ Years
  • b. GraphQL with Apollo Gateway – Minimum 2+ Years
  • c. Cloud Platform – Azure - Minimum 3+ Years

Team and Team size:

  • 1 PM, 4 - Developers, 1 – Sr. Architect, 1- Delivery/Engineering Manager

Primary Skills:

  • Strong experience in architecting/developing APIs using NodeJS ( NodeJS Asynchronous runtime )
  • Strong architecting and building GraphQL based access layer using Apollo Gateway
  • Experience in onboarding products in Azure Platform with utmost quality and best possible in cost optimization
  • Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases
  • Strong experience in DevOps best practices in cloud native environment
  • Understanding of good architectural practices ( design patterns, design trade-offs, security concepts)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with product, platform chief architect , Enterprise Architecture and engineering teams ( both in US and India) in platform build-out
  • Hands-on development( ~70%) of key platform components
  • Guide engineering team on day-to-day basis ensuring compliance to architecture
  • Support architecture modelling activities by creating conceptual, solution, deployment ( cloud) and technical architectural diagrams

  • a. How many rounds? 3
  • b. Video vs. phone? 2 vs 1(using MsTeam)
  • c. How technical will the interviews be? 2 Technical and 1 – managerial round. There will be 2 technical rounds of interview where we will discuss on Hands-On development exp. with Node JS, GraphQL and Azure
  • d. When do you anticipate starting the interview process? ASAP
