Projects the candidate will be working on:

  • This role supports teams delivering additional capabilities on the MBMNow platform. MBMNow platform is an evidence-based treatment, utilization management and analytics service that helps reduce medical expenses associated with a range of high cost, complex treatments.
  • The application is supported by 22+ Scrum Teams globally with each Scrum Team typically consisting of a Product Owner, a Systems Analyst, 3-4 Software Developers, and 2 Quality Engineers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and maintain applications within the scrum team
  • Develop, test, implement and maintain application software adhering to established development standards, security policies and procedures
  • Communicate effectively with other engineers and QE
  • Design and implement application enhancements in collaboration with different teams
  • Provide accurate and timely estimates for tasks
  • Solve complex problems and/or conduct complex analysis
  • Work with team to achieve timely resolution of all production issues meeting or exceeding Service Level Agreements
  • Solves unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in IT field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of development and testing experience in Java
  • 2+ years of experience working with relational databases
  • 1+ years working with RESTful services
  • 1+ years of Agile delivery experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare Industry experience is a plus
  • Understanding of Spring Framework, JMS, multi-threading and XML (Xml Beans, JAXP or JAXB) is a plus
  • Working experience with one or more of the following Maven, OpenShift, Jenkins, Github and mySQL is a plus
  • Knowledge of AngularJS or Angular is a plus
  • Extensive experience in complex projects with division or company-wide scope
  • Cloud experience is a plus

Working Time:

  •  8am - 5pm

Interview Process:

  •  We will assess the resume and assessment provided by the staffing firms.
  • Candidates then will typically have approximately two interviews, one with the hiring manager and second with a blend of engineering team members.
  • Interview formats will be a mix of technical questions, team fit and cultural. Preference is that all interviews are through video chat.
