Position Summary:

  • As a Windchill Technologist, you will leverage your previous Windchill System Administrator &/or Windchill Business Administrator experience to maintain our current Windchill environment(s) as well as help plan and implement Company's  future PDM strategy.
  • You will provide support and be responsible for the development for ongoing Product Data Management operations and projects as needed by the business.
  • You will also be responsible for the technical planning, system level administration, performance, usability, and enhancement of a global of the product data management systems.
  • Looking for a skilled individual who will perform their work alongside other technologists and architects. Collaborating on the various layers of the Windchill application infrastructure.

A Day in the Life

  • Maintain the current PDM Environments by performing upgrades, patching and rehosting the current Windchill systems.
  • Monitor and resolve issues related to system performance, workflows, & general user issues (L2/L3)
  • Develop KT/KBAs for Level 1 support
  • Work with other groups in IT & the PDM vendor to ensure system is performing as expected. This may include log retrieval and/or performing database queries.
  • Perform upgrades, patches, and re-hosts of the Windchill systems coordinating with the extended IT Team
  • Work with R&D and IT to develop use case analysis, documentation, develop system and business solutions, and validate uses cases.
  • Apply established SOP's, and/or develop new ones as needed, to ensure that Windchill process meet established requirements of the business.
  • Assess system performance of Windchill & potential Business growth and provide feedback to Management including budgetary implications.
  • Support creation and deployment of supporting application packages at a global level (e.g. Desktop Integration, Creo View, Creo Agent, Creo Parametric, Java client, etc.)

Must Have (Minimum Qualifications) EDUCATION REQUIRED:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business or Science. Computer Science or equivalent technical background preferred.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors degree and a minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience, or
  • Masters degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Systems Engineering experience a major plus.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Data/Process/Systems

  • Work experience with PTC Engineering Systems (Windchill PDMLink, CREO Parametric, Integrity)
  • Have a solid understanding of PLM/PDM concepts including CAD Management, Parts, BOM Management, Workflows, Access Controls, Lifecycles, & Change Management.
  • Familiarity with ALM /CICD
  • Computer System Validation in a regulated industry (e.g. FDA, Automotive, etc.)
  • Experience with MS suite of products

General

  • Project management and influence skills to succeed in matrixed environment.
  • Must be comfortable with ambiguity, adept at change management, and capable of working in cross functional, cross cultural teams.
  • Self-motivated individual with passion to succeed.
  • Attention to detail, thoroughness
  • Strong organization and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

  • Diverse PLM experience. Oracle Agile PLM, Dassault Systems Enovia PLM, Arena PLM, etc.
  • Experience with Enterprise Service Bus integrations between PLM and downstream systems such as ERP (SAP), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Database & Reporting experience (SQL, Oracle)
  • Experience on Windchill deployment on Cloud platform
  • Familiarity with authentication (SSO, SAML, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Application Servers (e.g. Tomcat)
