  • Create and build - Collaborate with the UX design team to understand the journey maps, storyboards, user flows, sketches, wireframes, and other design artifacts to effectively communicate interaction and a dynamic content strategy. Have an expert-level knowledge of responsive UI design methodology and processes (user-centered and iterative design). Create prototypes for UX research testing and create final UI comps for hand off to development. (Figma, Sketch, Invision, Abstract)
  • Be part of a collaborative team: Work closely with the UX design team, UX Director, and content writers in a collaborative team-oriented environment, where we share information, value diverse ideas, and partner with cross functional and remote teams. Work alongside information architects, developers, researchers and subject matter experts to create new products, features and functionality.
  • Be an effective communicator - Participate in peer-reviews and exhibit strong listening skills. Justify and articulate design decisions during design reviews. Be an effective advocate for the user and be able to successfully lead the implementation of feature-sets and interactions that provide an excellent customer experience. Prepare UX/UI documentation to be used by the development team.
  • Be Curious & Innovative - continuously update yourself with next generation user experiences, technology, and contribute to process development practices. Turn user research and usability feedback into easy-to-use solutions.

Basic qualifications:

  • 5+ years design experience in interaction design, information design, user interface design, human factors engineering, user experience.
  • Proficiency in responsive design
  • Proficiency in prototyping tools: Figma, Sketch, Invision, Abstract
  • Strong portfolio of work that illustrates your process, your level of craft, and content examples
  • Familiarity with Agile development
  • Confidence in working with strong, passionate, fast-paced team environment
  • Strong time-management, multi-tasking and prioritization skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred qualifications:

  • BA/BS in graphic design, fine art, visual communications, HCI or related field (or equivalent industry training / experience)
  • Familiarity with: Web standards (W3C and 508) / best practices for interaction design and Accessibility
