Job Description:
  • This role will support Client Advertising Business.
  • The Advertising Business provides customized advertising opportunities to brands who want to reach our highly valuable consumer electronics audience through meaningful content to our customers.

Project Description:
  • In this role, the Business Operations CW will oversee the Advertising Business financial and contractual operation functions.  
  • The Business Operations CW will partner with various Ad Business Leaders and cross functional enterprise partners like Procurement, Controllership, and Finance to coordinate, execute, and implement general business administration best practices.  
  • This role will directly support the daily and monthly executional needs relating to the Advertising Business financial reporting, invoice management, and establish one’s self as the point-of-contact on contractual administration functions such as coordinating the end-to-end processes for Adverting Business third-party compliance needs and contracting process management.
Position Summary/Job Description:
  • Be a strategic business partner with a financial and operational lens on the current and future business.  
  • Oversee the daily financial management and execute operational approaches to enable a cross-functional team to succeed at growing the business while maintaining operational excellence. 
Finance management and tracking
  • Partner with Finance and the business to create, analyze and review financials which includes building weekly revenue reports. 
  • Improve financials by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions.
  • Provide consistent communication to business team leaders on financial procedures and understand how business decisions impact financials. 
  • Manage revenue and expense invoices including setting up purchase orders, processing invoices, researching invoice discrepancies, and overseeing partner communication relative to invoice status.
  • Oversee the Agency Direct invoicing process which includes setting up agency for billing, reviewing insertion orders, and processing invoices. 
  • Partner with Controllership to manage monthly revenue and expense account reconciliations. 
Business operations and enablement 
  • Create and maintain materials to onboard new team members and retrain existing team as key operations evolve.
  • Partner with Procurement to ensure 3rd party contracts/partnership agreements follow Procurement processes and other internal compliance needs like Third Party Risk Assessments.
  • Create and maintain key process documentation like invoicing policies, financial procedures, and Travel & Expense guidelines. 
  • Create and maintain operations processes such as managing Media Network’s Contingent Worker setup, extensions, and key operations. 
What are the top five skills and number of years of experience required to perform this job?
  • The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of: 
  • A dynamic understanding of financial reporting, analytics, and invoicing (ideally Media/Marketing Specific)
  • Executing business tasks with a high level of productivity 
  • Strong sense of general business administration within a large organization including creating process documentation and maintaining organized information 
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically, act proactively, comfortable and actionable under circumstances of ambiguity, builds relationships, anticipated problems and solutions, and work cross-functionally with business partners
  • We are looking for someone with 2 – 4  years in Finance/Analytics/Business Operations roles or related experience
  • What are some preferred/nice to have skills the manager is looking for?
  • Prior Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable experience is a plus
  • Working knowledge of marketing, digital marketing, or ecommerce
