Job description:

  • Under minimal direction, works with project agile teams in technical support of the organization.
  • Provide technical leadership within agile teams and projects specific to database technologies.
  • Leads efforts to build the physical databases and database integrations taking into account access, storage, performance, maintenance of each database.
  • Devises or modifies complex design problems into simple solutions.
  • Accountable for analyzing and developing database and data integration designs in support of business and system requirements.
  • Able to translate business need into technical database solutions that work in concert with other capabilities including web, back end systems, finance, actuarial, and data warehousing solutions.
  •  Contributes to building physical databases and data integration, taking into account access, storage, performance, maintenance of each database.
  • Develops code for databases for use by applications plus integration code needed to load the database with data from other sources.
  • Understands the Database Management operating systems and how to optimize, operational and data warehousing techniques.
Specific Skills needed:
  • SQL Server Development, Azure DevOps, Familiarity with ETL tools like Informatica, Familiarity with Git and code management procedures / concepts.
Work model:
  • Initially remote but expected to be hybrid (2-4 days in the office per week) once company fully reopens it’s campus.
