Onsite in Katy, TX
As a Sr Java Developer/ Engineer, you will help manage high-end technology solutions for our clients. You will participate in the monitoring and enhancements directed at site reliability and performance. You will engage with Client Business stakeholders to support engineering and technology demands of Day to day operations directed towards the commerce website.

MUST HAVES:

  • 8+ years of software development/support experience with expertise in Cloud based or Cloud Native Microservice development/maintenance in Java
  •  (*nix/MySQL/Redis/Cassandra/Google Firestore/Tomcat) and will be familiar with all aspects of the Systems/Software Development Life Cycle
  • Creating scripts to automate operational tasks & incorporate the solutions into infrastructure
  • Triage alerts & diagnose/resolve critical issues, manage implementation of changes
  • Developing tools, frameworks, and instrumentation to validate and increase rollout success for applications.
  • Real-Time troubleshooting of mission critical application workflows and incorporate feedback to product development.
  • Working experience with web-services (REST, SOAP) and/or experience in Microservices
  • Experience with setting up monitoring dashboards and alerting using one or more of tools like Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, Elastic, Grafana,
  • Passion for learning, reliability, automation, orchestration and continual improvement
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Client facing
  • Gel well with distributed teams

Set Yourself Apart With:

  • Experience in one or more of front-end development technologies
  • Experience with DevOps and CloudOps (Google Cloud)
  • Experience with performance automation and/or synthetic test automation
  • Experience with Akamai Control Center configurations for Traffic Routing
