San Francisco working remote for now and hybrid later on.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Understand the overall architecture for the InSight SaaS web application, and enhance it over time for quality and scalability, as major new features are added
    • Contribute to sprint planning, providing high-level technical design and effort estimates, and reviewing product specifications and technical designs as necessary
    • Design, implement, and maintain features in the  SaaS web application
    • Collaborate with PM, QA, Webapp Development and Data Science teams across our San Francisco, Vancouver, and Eastern European offices, and provide mentorship to junior engineers
    • Ensure production uptime and performance through good software architecture, and resolve production issues with our Support and Operations teams as needed

Skills & Qualifications

    • BS in Computer Science from a top university.  Additional MS in Computer Science preferred
    • Strong sense of technical design, with ability to keep the customer view in context
    • 10+ years of experience developing software products, preferable in an enterprise market
    • 5+ years of experience developing web-based SaaS applications, and seeing them through multiple releases
    • 2+ years of experience providing technical leadership of a team
    • Deep experience and interest in backend web development 
    • Experience and interest in frontend web development is a plus
    • Proficiency in Python or similar backend web and application development language
    • Proficiency in relational databases and SQL
    • Proficiency in JavaScript and front-end frameworks (React, Angular) is a plus
    • Product and customer orientation
    • Good communication skills - both written and verbal.Quick learner, and a strong team player
