  • This position is NonExempt.
  • Hours over 40 will be paid at Time and a Half.
  • Seeking a creative software engineer to perform design, implementation, and unit testing of software subsystems.
  • This person will direct a team through the implementation and unit testing of large subsystems.
  • The interface subsystems are based on Sammi, a Motif interpreter.
  • This individual will be responsible for interface designs to support the Sammi windows.
  • Will use a C++ standard template library to take high level designs into software implementation.
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and 4 to 6 years experience in the field or related area.

Job Summary Work Duties may include, but not limited to:

  • Experience working with Jboss, Message Queues, Oracle DB.and Postgres DB. Proficient in Chef. Ansible or Puppet.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge and working experience of the CI/CD development pipeline and experience of the CI/CD maturity model. (Jenkins).
  • Knowledge and working experience of TCP/IP, DNS, Certs & Networking Concepts.
  • Strong core Linux OS skills, shell scripting, Perl scripting, python scripting or Ruby scripting.
  • Experience in developing, maintaining builds, deployment to dev, test and QA environments using ANT, Maven and other deployment tools.
  • Must have excellent troubleshooting skills. Experience with Agile development methodology, tools, and best practices.

Job Experience:

  • Familiar with Linux/Unix and system, system setup, and system commands
  • Familiar with script languages(Perl, shell script, etc.) and have trouble shooting experiences
  • Familiar with Git and/or Accurev, or other version control software. Know how to create code streams, merge, branching, etc.
  • Familiar with Jenkins, or other software development automation application. Had experiences with a large, multi-language software’s build, deploy, testing automatically.
  • Familiar with build tools, such as Ant and Maven, etc.
  • Experiences with Java, c++, Azure or other cloud experiences are big plus.
  • Experience with software development and development life cycle.
  • Motivated and quick learner.
