Horizontal Integration offers two service lines. Our digital agency provides digital marketing strategy and technology consulting on a project basis. Our staffing agency places IT, digital and creative talent in both contract and permanent roles. Many of our clients take advantage of both service lines.

Horizontal Integration is a certified Minority Business Enterprise, with more than 200 employees across our offices in Minneapolis, Denver, Dallas and Vadodara, India. We’ve been consistently growing and profitable since the company was founded in 2003.

Position Summary

The HR Intern will be a part of the corporate HR team and will assist with general HR operational tasks, including the opportunity to work on HR-related projects. We work in a fast-paced environment and the individual in this role will have an opportunity to gain hands-on HR experience in a corporate setting. This position is located in Saint Louis Park, MN in our newly renovated Corporate Office.  We are looking for an Intern to join the team from December through May with a schedule of between 10 and 15 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities
  • Distribute and collect documentation
  • Complete employment verifications
  • Respond to basic HR questions
  • Assist with compliance-related efforts
  • Assist with document creation and maintenance
  • Assist with compliance audits
  • Assist with HR-related projects

Minimum Requirements

  • Currently pursing BA or BS in Human Resources, Business or related field
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite Applications – Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Ability to execute tasks with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to learn specialized applications quickly
  • General clerical experience
  • Good time and resource management skills
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written
  • Ability to work with confidential information
