Projects the candidate will be working on:

  • Major Email Security project in the End User Technology space.
  • Candidate may also assist in project management activities for legacy tools as needed and assist in other End User Technology projects

Ideal Background:

  • Experience as an IT project manager in a larger organization would be ideal along with experience with hardware / software implementation projects to include Email security projects. Knowledge of security concepts such as DLP, Phishing and Brand Protection

Experience:

  • A preferred candidate will have extensive experience working in a project management role supporting technical and software implementation projects around email security

Top Requirements:

  • Drive the implementation of new email security tools and processes in the End User Technology space: Managing Scope, Schedule and Cost
  • Manage and track the rollout and migration of various End User Technology tools across the UHG user base
  • Create and manage measurement systems to track adoption, utilization and proficiency of individual changes.

Team and Team size:

  • 1-2 managers, 1 PM, 10-15 technical resources with mix of Optum staff from multiple teams and contract resources.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive the implementation of software upgrades in the End User Technology space: Managing Scope, Schedule and Cost
  • Manage and track the rollout and migration of End User Technology tools across the UHG user base
  • Use data, experience and client interactions to identify pain points, best practices and detailed recommendations
  • Create and manage measurement systems to track adoption, utilization and proficiency of individual changes
  • Identify resistance and performance gaps, work to develop and implement corrective actions
  • Work with project teams to integrate change management activities into the overall project plan
  • Create a technology adoption strategy to include calendar, agendas, target audience, content
  • Demo software and solutions
  • Create and facilitate Champion Programs
  • Create a communication plan to support the Training plan and overall deployment/transition
  • Perform train-the-trainer, Support Desk, and end user training sessions

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong working knowledge of IT software and hardware upgrade methodologies
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles and methodologies
  • Strong business acumen and awareness of business trends
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
  • Proven track record in adaptability, teamwork, problem solving, coaching, group process facilitation, influence, strategic thinking, planning, leadership and change management
  • Adept at in-person as well as virtual training

EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in roles focused in any of the following: change management, process management, systems/solution delivery, or business strategy
  • 7+ years of experience as part of projects from requirements gathering and analysis, through deployment and testing through to transition and training.
  • Proven success supporting business change in small, mid-size and large organizations

Experience:

  • Email security experience

Top Requirements:

  • Solid Project Management skills with large projects at a midsize to large company – 6+ years
  • Projects related to email security - 1+ year
  • Running POCs with external vendors - 1+ year
