Projects the candidate will be working on:

  • MRCP Platform (Medicare & Retirement)
  • Project – MRCP is a blue chip initiative to build a new cloud based platform, migrate all M&R claims processing capabilities from existing mainframe based giant systems (COSMOS & NICE) and eventually decommissioning these legacy platforms.

Ideal Background:

  • healthcare preferred.

Team and Team size:

  • Part of scrum team.

Top Responsibilities:

  •  Analyze, develop technical solutions and code to meet business requirements
  • Implements coding practices consistent with defined conventions
  • Provides valuable insights in development code reviews
  • Performs unit and comprehensive testing for overall quality assurance of functional and technical quality of deliverables
  • Tracks the project status and communicates status to scrum team as appropriate
  • Actively participates in all sprint meetings (Planning, Grooming, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Review and Retrospectives)
  • Assists in developing standardized work processes, tools, and methodologies that improve quality and profitability
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Providing accurate and timely estimates for technical tasks

Software tools/skills:

  • Java/J2EE, Soap or Restful APIs, XML/JSON, Jenkins, Git, Gradle, SonarQube & Fortify, Spring Boot, Kafka, MySQL, CI/CD, Micro-services, Hibernate, JPA or JDB, Docker & Kubernetes

Skills/attributes:

  • 5+ yrs of experience in JAVA, Springboot, Cloud development & microservice frameworks.
  • Self Starter with strong communication skills and ability to efficiently guide & review technical deliveries.

Nice to have:

  •  Kafka, CI/CD tools, automation tools, Agile methodology skills
