Description:

  • The primary role of this position is to act as a Windows OS Engineer with a focus on the integration of non-integrated Business Partners into Optum’s Managed environment.
  •  You will design, document, and implement a strategy for migrating 50K+ workstations. You will be sought out as an expert of Windows Operating Systems and Desktop Hardware with regards to imaging, integration, deployment, features, policies and security.

Experience:

  • a. Experience with Integrating and Engineering Windows endpoints in a medical or clinical setting

Top Requirements:

  • a. 5+ years Integrating, certifying, and maintaining Windows based Hardware Models with MEM (MECM & Intune)
  • b. 5+ years Creating Windows Images and deploying to multi-vendor OEM environment with MECM
  • c. 2+ years of Experience using Windows Autopilot to provision Windows 10

Team and Team size:

  • a. They will be joining a department of 21 Endpoint & Systems Management Architecture Engineers that have expertise in Windows OS and Hardware Engineering, MacOS Engineering, Systems Management Engineering & Architecture.
  • The candidate will be supporting a project team that will be made up of PMs, Engineers, Customers, IT support staff and Technical Leaders

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess and interpret customer needs and requirements
  • Incorporate Operating System Deployments and system architecture into conceptual designs
  • Provides technical guidance to project team areas as appropriate.
  • Developing Windows Images and Deployments to a multi-vendor environment
  • Integrate new hardware and drivers into a Windows Image
  • Integrate new peripherals, supporting drivers and software, including but not limited to printers and medical equipment

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years Integrating, certifying, and maintaining Windows based Hardware Models with MEM (MECM & Intune)
  • 5+ years Creating Windows Images and deploying to multi-vendor OEM environment with MECM
  • 2+ years of Experience using Windows Autopilot to provision Windows 10
  • Experience managing, troubleshooting and 3rd level support of Windows 10 and Hardware in an enterprise environment
  • Experience integrating and supporting peripherals, including but not limited to local printers and medical equipment
  • Windows scripting and coding: vbscript, powershell, Visual Basic
  • Experience with Azure AD joined and hybrid joined devices in a co-managed environment

Working Time:

  • Standard 9am-5pm, weekdays only.
