RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with other IT functions.
  • Installs, operates, manages, and maintains hardware and/or software, including administrator and service accounts, maintenance of system documentation, tuning system performance, backup/recovery, and other planned configuration changes.
  • Interacts with users and other stakeholders to plan and implement changes and deliver support.
  • Contributes to evaluation and recommendations for vendor products, manages and monitors policies and standards for the use of computing resources, and executes on programs and projects within a specific IT function.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity working with multiple system/software lifecycle environments
  • Ability to adapt to challenging situations and flexible work culture.
  • Experience with Linux servers in virtualized environments
  • Diagnose, document, report, and resolve system problems in complex technical environments.
  • Strong experience with Linux servers in virtualized and cloud environments; specifically Redhat
  • Experience with Windows servers virtualized and cloud environments

MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 2+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelors Degree or some relevant experience with an advanced degree
  • Experience with Windows and Linux servers in virtualized environments
  • Experience implementing and supporting the following technologies:
  • Cloudera Nifi / Kafka / Ambari.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Container technologies (Docker and Kubernetes).
  • LogicNets
  • MarkLogic
  • Octopus Deploy
  • MongoDB
  • Experience in administration and configuration of ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) on AWS
