We are looking for a ServiceNow Solution Architect/Consultant to join our IT Service Management team to develop and configure applications that will be leveraged by our internal employees. This role is to support the build of a ServiceNow Knowledge portal for and developed by our Managed Services Partner. The aim is to use as much out of box ServiceNow functionality as possible, while adhering to processes and standards. The solution architect/consultant will be the lead in assessing, designing, and developing the Knowledgebase portal developed by the MSP while closely collaborating with the Knowledge Management Process Lead and Business Analyst.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • The ServiceNow architect/consultant is responsible for designing, developing and delivering Knowledge Management solutions on the ITSM ServiceNow platform.
  • Develops quality and effective solutions for reported or assigned projects and assignments.
  • Conducts research into system features to solve the business problems and recommend changes in the processes and standards wherever is feasible.
  • Follows MDT IT standards, procedures and methodologies for project management and system development and makes sure that the MSP - Managed Service Provider is following the standards
  • Develops solutions to moderately complex problems, and/or makes moderate to significant improvements of processes, systems or products independently to enhance performance of job area.
  • Develops system design documentation, perform coding, Code Reviews and test/debug programs to hold the Quality of the product designed by the MSP - Managed Service Provider
  • Architects integrations or functional business teams as needed from and to ServiceNow platform.
  • Develops and Reviews conversion and system implementation plans for data loads into the platform.
  • Recommends changes in development, maintenance, and system standards for the Knowledge Management and ITSM areas
  • Trains users in system enhancements and modifications.
  • Works closely with functional users to enhance and maintain the applications on the SN platform.
  • Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower-level professionals.
  • Innovation and Complexity: Problems and issues faced are difficult, complex and undefined, and require detailed information gathering, analysis and investigation.
  • Communication and Influence: Represents organization as a primary contact for specific projects and initiatives; communicates with internal and external customers and vendors at various levels.

MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Requires mastery of a specialty area and full knowledge of industry practices, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience in the Knowledge Management and ITSM areas
  • Bachelors degree and minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with knowledge module of SNOW platform
  • Experience with ServiceNow Platform
  • ServiceNow CSA (admin/developer) certification

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience in Scripting/implementing/ administering of ServiceNow
  • Program Languages: Java Script, CSS, HTML, Angular JS, Bootstrap, Server-Side scripting, Jelly Script, jQuery
  • Multi-Application Integrations
  • Testing/Troubleshooting
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and activities and deal with change
  • Independently handle and/or drive the assigned projects
