Description:

  • Systems Engineer with experience with Java/springboot applications and Rest API development

Projects the candidate will be working on:

  • Focus will be to maintain and enhance an existing API + scheduler that sits between 2 enterprise-wide applications.

Ideal Background:

  • Experience with Java/springboot applications and Rest API development.

Team and Team size:

  • This person would work directly with the Occupational Health and Safety team, but would report up through Technology.
  • The team is made up of business, PM and IT resources.

Top Responsibilities:

  • This person would be responsible for managing user stories tracked in a Rally backlog.
  • Focus would be on developing mapping code and maintaining existing code.

Skills/attributes Required:

  • 10 or more years experience with Java/springboot applications.
  • 5 or more years with Rest API development and working in an Agile environment.

Skills/attributes Preferred:

  • Looking for someone who can work directly with the business to understand requirements and set accurate expectations.

Tasks:

  • Business logic updates
    • Needs to be comfortable meeting with business teams to understand/document requirements
    • Needs to be experienced with Java/springboot applications and Rest API development
    • Prior experience in transforming xml
  • Build/Deploy Pipeline
    • Working knowledge of jenkins build/deploy process
    • Working knowledge of app management in a kubernetes environment
  • Unit test implementation
    • Prior experience writing automated unit tests
    • Prior experience writing automated functional tests

Working Time:

  • 9am-5pm day

Interview Process:

  • Via Teams or Webex
  • How many rounds? 2 rounds with leadership + engineering
  • How technical will the interviews be? Fairly technical to understand background
