Horizontal Talent is looking to add a Resource Coordinator to our staffing team to enable an exceptional experience for all new hires. This role requires someone to think beyond the typical onboarding activities and craft a unique experience that enables employees to have a long-lasting sense of belonging and a smooth transition into working at Horizontal Talent.
 

What you will do:

  • Take ownership of current onboarding and offboarding programs both from a process and hosting perspective to technology setup

  • Redesign the program to elevate our current new hire experience in an onsite, remote and hybrid environment

  • Be a thought partner and a go-to resource for department leads to build their “in job” onboarding experience

  • Find unique ways from “offer letter” through “6 months post start date” to bring people together through experiences

  • Partner with operational team members and HR to oversee adherence to onboarding process and practices

  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to manage interview and new hire processes and ensure a seamless transition from candidate to new hire

  • Manage onboarding scheduling logistics and attendance for various training sessions  

  • Support and promote our company belief, values, mission, and D&I initiatives

  • Oversee and manage Horizontal Talent’s Sidekick mentorship program for new employees

  • Act as an ambassador of Horizontal Talent, to new hires and existing employees, in all forms of communication

  • Manage distribution of Internal Employee Gifts (birthdays, babies, anniversaries, death, MVP prizes, etc.) 

 

What we are looking for:

  • 1-3 years in related experience in successfully designing or having ownership of training or onboarding programs

  • Passionate for thinking creatively about people's experiences - creating team and company events, building relationships, providing cultural opportunities throughout their growth at Horizontal Talent

  • Proven success in creating, developing, and delivering virtual and in-person onboarding programs, preferably for a staffing organization

  • Proficient in technologies for talent management, training administration and/or human resources; comfortable with data, systems, and applications

  • Be an operational pro, managing daily tasks, problem-solving issues that arise and introducing new innovative processes to the team

  • Ability to listen, learn and influence cross-functionally to get buy-in for onboarding initiatives 

  • Ability to recognize process improvement opportunities and act upon them to gain efficiencies in a rapidly growing environment

  • Passionate about learning and adapting to new technologies

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills

  • Motivated self-starter with attention to detail, while effectively prioritizing 

  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications

  • Human Resources background or degree is nice to have 

  • Experience utilizing UKG is a plus

 

This position is based in our Minneapolis, Minnesota location, reporting to Director of Talent.
