Description:

  • We are currently seeking a strong Agile Practitioner (Agile Coach) to work for the Technology Transformation Team.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong Agile background (expert SME level) and be stellar with customers, coaching and spreading the Agile methodology and message across all business segments.
  • As an Agile Practitioner you will be responsible for ensuring Agile Frameworks are understood and enacted. Agile Practitioners do this by ensuring that the team and organization adhere to the values of the Agile Manifesto and the twelve principles therein.
  • You are a servant leader. You help employees and stakeholders understand and enact empirical product development.
  • You are a facilitator, trainer, coach, and mentor for the team, organization and enterprise.
  • You are not defined or bounded by your title, but instead focus on delivering value.
  • You seek to continuously improve your own skills, the effectiveness of your team, and the organization’s understanding of Agile.
  • You measure progress using learning milestones. You support the five elements of a learning organization: personal mastery, mental models, shared vision, team learning, and systems thinking.
  • You adhere to the five Scrum values: focus, courage, openness, commitment, and respect.
  • As an Agile Practitioner (Coach) you will be working with multiple teams and with all levels of leadership, including executive leadership, to coach in agile, devops, and change management principles and practices to influence change from the top-down as well as bottom-up.
  • Depending on your ability, track record, and organization needs, you may be invited to serve in leading an organization through change by crafting and executing a coaching strategy in alignment with business outcomes.
  • In this, you will serve as a servant leader to the client, a team of coaches (if needed), and to team members in the coaching organization.
  • As a coach, you are expected to build a strong circle of influence.
  • A high emotional quotient and an ability to form positive relationships with clients, peers, and team members is essential.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Positions in this function are involved in the definition, management, and implementation of transformation efforts.
  • Focuses on being a change agent to identify transformation opportunities across the enterprise, establishing a transformation roadmap and delivering upon transformation outcomes
  • Positions are transformation specialists with the ability to influence business, operations and technology leaders
  • Travel to core office sites could be up to twice per year post-pandemic
  • You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience as an Agile Coach- Agile Practitioner in a large and complex business environment
  • 2+ years of experience with application development/support experience in a large enterprise environment
  • 2+ years of experience leading teams and/or managing workloads for team members
  • Experience leading development and/or support for large, critical applications (preferably on multiple platforms)
  • Experience on Large Scale IT initiatives
  • You will be asked to perform this role in an office setting or other company location, however, may be required to work from home temporarily due to space limitations (MN)
  • Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe.
  • Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Agile Certification(s)
  • Prior experiences leading/working with distributed team
  • Previous experience managing/working with a remote team of resources including offshore team members
  • Previous Healthcare industry experience
  • Growth Mindset

Projects the candidate will be working on:

  • Working in the Insurance Solutions Team, current involvement is “agile advisory” with some fundamental training.
  • Coach is pulled into disputes, clarification on agile process and mostly work with leadership on best practices.
  • In the upcoming months they are in the process of transition additional teams from Waterfall to Agile, and will need the coach to help with the transition.
  • Also, they are looking for the coach to work with teams that struggle with agile to quickly identify root cause and help them fix the problem.

Experience:

  • Experience leading development and/or support for large, critical applications.

Top Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as an Agile Coach- Agile Practitioner in a large and complex business environment
  • 2+ years of experience with application development/support experience in a large enterprise environment
  • Experience leading development and/or support for large, critical applications (preferably on multiple platforms)

Team and Team size:

  •  Coaching 4-5 teams in one same Line of Business.

Interview Process:

  • a. How many rounds? 2-3
  • b. Video vs. phone? Video
  • c. How technical will the interviews be? Not technical, questions about pat experience.
