Description:

  • Oracle E-Business Suite DBA, aka Oracle Apps DBA, aka Oracle ERP DBA

Projects the candidate will be working on:

  • Oracle database upgrade project, upgrading Oracle database from 12c to 19c, upgrading
  • Oracle E-Business Suite from 12.1.3 to 12.2.10, and load balancing application servers.

Ideal Background:

  • I need an experienced Oracle E-Business Suite DBA (aka Apps DBA, aka ERP DBA) who has performed database upgrades from Oracle 12c to 19c in Production (not just practiced in non-Prod environments).
  • Also need someone with experience increasing application servers with F5 load balancers.

Experience:

  • Oracle Cloud Control 13c (aka Grid Control)

Top Requirements:

  • Oracle database administration skills, including install, upgrade, patching, maintenance, tuning for Oracle 12c and 19c
  • Oracle E-Business Suite skills including install, upgrade, patching, maintenance, tuning for R12.1.3 and 12.2.x (12.2.9 preferred)

Top Responsibilities:

  • Plan, document, and implement Oracle RDBMS upgrade from 12c to 19c
  • Plan, document, and implement Oracle E-Business Suite application server load balancing

Software tools/skills:

  • Oracle SQL, Oracle database administration, UNIX shell scripting

Working Time:

  •  8am-5pm CT - can be flexible based on project needs
  • Can potentially time-shift and overlap.

Interview Process:

  • a. How many rounds? 1-2 rounds, depending on technical and communication skills
  • b. Video vs. phone? Video preferred (MS Teams links will be shared once interview times are confirmed)
  • c. How technical will the interviews be? Candidates will need to demonstrate (orally) that they understand the processes for upgrading Oracle databases used by the Oracle E-Business Suite (a niche skill-set), as well as the processes for increasing application servers and load balancing incoming requests; they will not be asked to provide live technical demos.
