Job description:
  • Responsible for working with Payment Integrity business areas, project teams, and IT technical teams, as well as, outsourced vendors to ensure innovative Pega Platform App development, support, and project delivery.
  • Assists in the Management of Pega app assets and provides complex or highly complex support of the Pega development tool set, develops software, and coordinates maintenance and enhancement activities.
  • Focus is on Pega development and enhancements supporting Payment Integrity.
A Day in the Life:
  • Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, working with analytics team and business partners to design and develop high-quality apps and optimal user experiences.
  • Provides development, daily support and resolves complex or highly complex technical issues related to tools developed in the Pega Platform.
  • Works with analytics team and other business partners to define scope, objectives and solutions based on user needs and documents detailed design of components/aspects of the software.
  • Performs complex system enhancements/customizations.
  • Participates as a Pega subject matter expert in design, development, coding, testing, and debugging new apps and making enhancements to existing apps.
  • Consults with business areas and IT technical resources regarding requirements, system scope, objectives and quality solutions based on user needs.
  • Resolves customer issues with apps and initiates and delivers suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
  • Helps prepares detailed specifications for large and/or complex development projects.
  • Leads testing activities and design code review to ensure accuracy.
  • Provides suggestions for continuous app improvement efforts.
Required Skills and Experiences:
  • Must be eligible to work within the United States without sponsorship given this Req is for contract-to-hire status;
  • Client is unable to sponsor work Visas at this time.
  • Must open to conversion; do not submit candidates that desire contract only assignments
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field and 7 years of related experience or 11 years of related IT experience in lieu of a degree or demonstrated competency with app development. (Ideally, 10+ years of overall IT experience)
  • Ability to work independently to complete project tasks and assigned work
  • Demonstrated ability to offer recommendations and innovative solutions, and to drive continuous team improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to perform complex app development with the Pega platform
  • Demonstrated ability to document and develop workflow-based apps.
  • Experience interfacing capabilities with external systems.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal/team skills to effectively interact and collaborate with others.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with the development of apps supporting healthcare (X12 EDI Insurance/Health Series).
  • Experience with the development of apps on or conversion of apps to AWS Cloud environment.
  • Experience with Pega Robotics.
  • Technical Certification Participation like Pega Systems Architect, Pega UI Specialist, or similar.
