Projects the candidate will be working on:

  • The ideal candidate would be someone that is highly organized and flexible.
  • This person would be responsible for managing projects as assigned within the QI team.
  • Projects may vary, however all will have a quality focus.
  • Current projects are related to the execution of State contracting requirements and all sub projects under this.
  • Additional projects will be assigned as they come up during the year and will most likely be performance improvement and regulatory based

Ideal Background:

  • Project management certification or working towards designation.
  • Experience with managing projects for a large company.
  • Background in health care or related field strongly preferred.
  • Ability to be very organized, meet deliverables and navigate competing priorities.

Team and Team size:

  • Current Population Health team is made up of 1 Medical Director, 1 Director and 3 managers responsible for all aspects of Population Health.
  • We have a highly skilled clinical team (RNs, RDs, LADCs and MAs) that is member facing.
  • The other arm of QI is regulatory that also employs RNs and analysts

Top Responsibilities:

  • Working directly with the Director of Population Health responsibilities will be (but may exceed): managing a detailed and actionable work plan.
  • Keeping meeting minutes and other active notes, as well as meticulous tracking of deliverables.
  • Develop/generate/distribute project reports/documentation to applicable stakeholders (e.g., project status, metrics, outcomes, issues, risks, opportunities).
  • Developing power point presentations on associated projects, tracking outcomes, and meeting deadlines.
  • This person would also be responsible for contributing what is learned to the Population Health strategy, which may also include writing to it.
  • Presentations to internal and external stakeholders as needed or assigned

Skills/attributes:

  • Highly organized. Writes well, and understands common healthcare lingo.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft products (i.e. Teams, Power point, Excel, Word and Outlook).
  • Polished verbal communication skills a must.
  • Prefer at least 2 years of project management expertise with solid references

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with health insurance or working at health insurance company.
  • Knowledge of NV Department of health and human services, CMS, NCQA accreditation and or HEDIS experience.
  • Experience with any type of request for proposal (RFP)-reading, writing, etc. Experience with use of quality tools.

Working Time:

  • Will vary with assignment.
  • Typically between the hours of 8-5 Monday-Friday.

Interview Process:

  • No real preference, Hiring manager (me) will do initial interviews.
  • Other stakeholders may want to vet as well, TBD.
  • a. How many rounds? No more then 3 (ideally only 2)
  • b. Video vs. phone? Either is fine!
