DevSecOps Engineer - GitLab/Kubernetes

What You’ll Do

  • Be part of the DevSecOps Platform team to champion a culture of automation, collaboration, innovation, and learning.
  • Create, maintain, and extend build infrastructure including code reviews, automated builds, database migrations, security scanning, and integration/regression testing.
  • Collaborate with teams to design and implement pipeline stages that meet business objectives. Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the pipeline stages.
  • Provide software configuration management and maintain applications for such.
  • Build capabilities that will ensure quality and facilitate the rapid, secure, reliable deployment of applications to internal, hybrid-cloud and cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with team members and business users to clarify requirements and confirm design/implementation.
  • Foster a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements of existing systems and DevOps applications and platforms.
  • Work closely with the Information Technology groups to expand DevOps application, platform, and server capabilities, capacities, and functionalities.
  • Train and collaborate with others to evangelize the DevSecOps culture, including presenting DevSecOps principles and platform capabilities to all levels of the company.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the SBU/SSU and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s in Information Technology or a related technical field plus 2 or more years related experience
  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and collaborative skills.
  • Interest in learning new skills and keeping pace with changing technologies.
  • A passion for DevOps tools and culture along with experience in DevOps/CI/CD processes.
  • Experience developing tools and/or automation frameworks.
  • Experience in the following:
    • GitLab and Atlassian stacks
    • Containerization with Docker or Podman
    • Container orchestration with Kubernetes (K3, K8, RedHat OpenShift, Docker Enterprise, etc.)
    • Experience with source control automation
    • Git source control and branching strategies.
    • Scripting specifically around configuration and automation with PowerShell, Bash, Python, or equivalent languages.
    • Building Continuous Integration pipelines.
  • Experience with any of the following technologies preferred.
    • Cloud management within Azure or AWS
    • Service-oriented or microservices architecture and distributed application design principles
    • System Administration and/or Software Developer experience
    • Azure DevOps Server/Services
    • Windows Administration
    • Linux Administration
    • NuGet, Yum, and/or Maven Package Management.
    • Static code analysis with Fortify, SonarQube, Checkmarx, etc.

Compensation

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $34.38/hr - $46.63/hr (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
