Position Summary:

  • Manage day to day project operations for the company's  academy 2.0 project
  • Accountable for project timeline, resource management, and project communications with consult from the product team
  • Work with SMEs to ensure availability and assignments. Track assignment completion.
  • Leveraging project value stream leaders, ensure SME feedback is consolidated and actioned with the web vendor.
  • Schedule project meetings with actionable agendas, curate meeting notes, create action plans and notify owners and track task completion.
  • Report out to the Director of Digital Education Solutions weekly and biweekly to the project leadership team. Maintain a project scorecard to clearly communicate project status.

Simulation Project Management

  • Manage day-to-day operations for Medical Education simulation projects
  • Catalog simulator inventory quarterly, including new units and items sent for repair
  • Assist the Director produce Statements of Work (SOWs), Request for Proposals (RFPs), and Capital Requests (CARs), as necessary
  • Work with simulation vendors to initiate, follow progression, and evaluate work on various projects
  • Actively track project progression and keep vendors accountable to project timeline and budget
  • Report out to the Director of Procedure Training weekly, and to senior leadership quarterly

Responsibilities :

  • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
  • Reviews status of projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and clientsatisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, clients and other stakeholders.

  • Establishes operational plans and implements policies and strategies.
  • Decisions impact program schedules, customer satisfaction levels, or allocation of time, material resources, expenditures and funds.
  • May have budget or P&L accountability for a department, function or geography. Strive for continuous improvement and consistency in deliverables.

  • Proposes modifications to functional operating policies and daytoday processes.
  • Problems and issues faced are complex, difficult and undefined, and require detailed information gathering, analysis and investigation to understand the problem.
Communication and Influence:
  • Communicates with internal and external customers and vendors regarding ongoing operations.
  • Uses information exchange, influence and active persuasion without direct exercise of command to gain cooperation of other parties .
  • May interact on issues that have externally shared objectives.
Leadership and Talent Management:
  • Manages a team consisting of supervisors and / or experienced professionals in the Specialist career stream.
  • Leads, directs and reviews the work of a team who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.
  • Authorizes hiring, firing, promotion and reward within own area.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
  • Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within one job area.
  • Typically has advanced knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.
  • Requires a University Degree and minimum of 5 years relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years prior relevant experience.
