  • This position will be to provide day-to-day support for the Altiris/Symantec/Broadcom application service within our large enterprise.
  • General administration, support will be involved for the both the IT Management Suite (Symantec Management Platform) as Ghost Solution Suite utilizing Service for change and incident management.
  • Seeing this is a highly visible service/application, self-motivation, attention to detail and follow-through is a standard practice at.


  • The candidate(s) must have a working experience and knowledge of both the IT Management Suite (Symantec Management Platform) as Ghost Solution Suite.
  • Specific working knowledge and experience of Package Server, BINs, replication, etc.
  • Self-driven and having the ability to balance working independently but also understanding and knowing when to reach out for assistance is crucial.

Team and Team size:

  • Working with a small team of 6 other technical support personnel but collaborating and with numerous other IT business groups such as network, Database, Help Desk.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Incident and change management activities relating to Altiris/Symantec/Broadcom Symantec Management Platform (SMP) and Ghost Solution Suite (GSS) using the ServiceNow digital workflow system
  • Supporting and maintaining 100% uptime of a global Altiris/Symantec/Broadcom server infrastructure (Windows Server 2012/2016)
  • Collaboration with other IT teams to address issues, tickets and concerns relating to the Altiris service(s)
  • Work timely and efficiently to day-to-day support activities and tasks
  • Must be willing and able to respond quickly to emergency support situations
  • Monitoring and upkeep of Symantec Management Platform (SMP) and DAgent health on clients/servers
  • Ability and desire to capture, produce and maintain accurate technical documentation.
  • Support of PXE and workstation imaging/build processes
  • Coordination and management of server infrastructure builds, moves and decommissions

Required Qualifications

  • BS degree in computer or business related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in applications systems support and use of the Altiris/Broadcom/Symantec Management Platform (SMP) and Ghost Solution Suite (GSS) for enterprise systems management and software deployment tools.
  • Understanding of various configurations of the Altiris/Symantec/Broadcom Symantec Management Platform (SMP) and Ghost Solution Suite (GSS) such as inventory, PXE, jobs, etc
  • Excellent interpersonal, team-oriented skills. Reliable and responsible.
  • Committed to enforcing all IT policies, including support system procedures.
  • Must be innovative and take initiative. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Desire to identify and drive resolution of technical issues: assess and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Excellent problem solving skills including use of remote management systems.
  • Professional-level verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with audiences of varying levels of technical understanding.
  • Understanding of Microsoft server/workstation operating systems.
  • Extensive knowledge and use of Microsoft O365 Suite of applications.
  • Use of virtual technologies such as VMWare, Citrix
  • Achievement in industry-standard hardware/software certifications (i.e. Altiris/Symantec/Broadcom, Microsoft, A+) a plus.
  • Ability to perform consistent daily work on a computer.
  • PowerShell scripting and T-SQL code querying is a plus
  • Certification(s) in Altiris/Broadcom/Symantec Management Platform (SMP) and Ghost Solution Suite (GSS) is beneficial.

Working Time:

  • 9am-5pm Central (US) time day shift

  • Interview process will be a minimum of 2 rounds utilizing Microsoft Teams.
  • One technically focused based on responsibilities and qualifications listed below.
  • Anticipate starting interview mid-September.
