Windows Engineer

Overview

  • Responsible for designing, installing, maintaining and troubleshooting Windows Servers, the Citrix environment and related server services and end user issues.
  • The Windows Systems Engineer uses tools and methods to analyze and resolve server problems as well as proposing and implementing improvements and upgrades as required.
  • This position will be responsible for completion of projects and working under high levels of responsibility and autonomy.
  • The position works as an integral member of the Infrastructure team providing technology integration & support expertise on highly complex platforms and systems.
  • The position will work closely with external software vendors and internal customers to support the management, integration and engineering needs in an agile dev/ops team approach.
  • The Windows Systems Engineer is responsible for the Windows and Citrix compute environment with responsibilities on these systems that include System Engineering and provisioning, operations and support, maintenance and research and development to ensure continual innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement infrastructure improvements to ensure optimal Windows Server and application performance and scalability
  • Perform the installation of new software releases, system upgrades, evaluation and installation of patches, and the resolution of software related problems on Windows systems.
  • Reviews daily integrity, availability and performance of Windows and Citrix infrastructure - servers, storage, network, etc., key processes, event logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
  • Provide IT team members and support representatives with technical support and guidance.
  • Utilize a trouble-ticket system and other ancillary services to help assist in the efficient delivery of services.
  • Secure Windows Server and Citrix systems by establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access.
  • Reporting on server operational status by gathering, prioritizing information; managing projects.
  • Interface with IT team to ensure all system requirements are clearly defined, implemented and tested.
  • Build effective working relationships with team members.
  • Provides knowledge transfer to other IT team members, writing documentation as required.
  • Other plan driven duties and/or responsibility as deemed necessary and appropriate.
  • Availability after hours in the case of emergency and escalated system support issues.

Requirements Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge and minimum 5 years proven experience in deploying, managing and maintaining Microsoft Windows Server roles and features such as AD, DNS, DHCP, DFS, IIS, GPO, WSUS, ADFS, Windows Server Failover Clustering, RDS.
  • Minimum 3 years proven experience managing and maintaining a highly available virtualization platform such as Hyper-V or VMware vSphere.
  • Minimum 3 years proven experience in managing and maintaining Windows virtual desktop environments such as Remote Desktop Services or Citrix XenDesktop 7.x/Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
  • Solid understanding of core concepts and experience with networking, storage, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing, PKI, and SMTP.
  • Experience with PowerShell.
  • Experience in managing anti-virus software in a corporate environment.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in managing Active Directory in a multi-domain, multi-forest environment.
  • Experience with Citrix Netscaler/ADC.
  • Experience with Office365.
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange Server 2010+.
  • Experience in managing Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft SQL Server Availability Groups.
  • Experience with iSCSI SANs.
  • Experience with the Microsoft System Center suite.

Linux Engineer
Overview
  • Responsible for planning, implementing and maintaining network and server resources as used in development and production systems in a dynamic team environment.
  • You will be responsible for the efficient planning, provisioning, installation/configuration, operations, troubleshooting and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement infrastructure improvements to ensure optimal systems and application performance and scalability in a virtualized cloud environment.
  • Design, implement, and maintain streamlined operations of all systems and network resources in the company’s offices, data centers, and remote users for software development, testing environment and production systems.
  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware and software upgrades, and resource optimization as needed.
  • Design, develop and implement server and network solutions for key stakeholders.
  • Responsible for the monitoring, maintenance, and repair of the corporate Linux environment verifying the integrity and availability of all server instances, server resources, systems and key processes.
  • Assist in defining and implementing IT policies and procedures.
  • Assist in defining and testing Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans.
  • Provide IT team members and support representatives with technical support and guidance.
  • Interface with IT team to ensure all system requirements are clearly defined, implemented and tested.
  • Build effective working relationships with team members.
  • Provides knowledge transfer to other IT team members, writing documentation as required.

Requirements

  • BS/BA/BBA in Computer Science or Information Technology, plus three years of experience designing and developing solutions in a corporate setting (or equivalent combination of education and experience.)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in analyzing, designing, configuring, troubleshooting, testing and maintaining CentOS and Ubuntu Linux servers in a corporate environment
  • Experienced at performing administrative activities and configuration within the Linux command line interface
  • Expertise in implementing and administering systems in a virtualized cloud environment such as AWS, OpenStack, XenServer or VMware
  • Experienced with automation and deployments tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in TCP/IP and Ethernet networking technologies including SDN
  • Minimum 3 years experience with high-availability systems.
  • Experienced in monitoring network and server performance using various tools such as Zenoss, Prometheus
  • Expertise in optimizing server configurations for Rails, Passenger, Apache, Java, Nginx and MySQL or Postgres environments
  • Scripting experience with any of the following languages - Bash, Python, Ruby
  • Experience in CI/CD environments utilizing GitLab/GitHub, Jenkins
  • Technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing effective procedures and systems requirements that meet business requirements
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Able to work independently, under general supervision and as a part of a team, on several concurrent tasks with changing priorities

Network Engineer

Overview

  • Responsible for designing, installing, maintaining and troubleshooting Local Area Networks, Wide Area Networks and data communications equipment.
  • The Network Engineer uses tools and methods to analyze and resolve network-related problems as well as proposing and implementing improvements and upgrades as required
  • This position will be responsible for completion of projects and working under high levels of responsibility and autonomy.
  • The position works as an integral member of the Infrastructure team providing technology integration & support expertise on highly complex platforms and systems.
  • The position will work closely with external software vendors and internal software developers to support the management, integration and engineering needs in an agile dev/ops team approach.

Responsibilities

  • Establish the networking environment by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.

Must Have:

Minimum 5 years of experience in analyzing, designing, configuring, testing and maintaining Cisco network switches in a corporate environment.

Minimum 5 years’ experience with TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, WINS, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP, HTTP/S networking and protocols.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in firewall and VPN technologies.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in designing and troubleshooting wireless technologies.

Minimum 3 years’ experience designing and building WAN and Internet connectivity.

Nice to Have:

Experienced in monitoring network and communications performance using various tools such as Zenoss.

Experience working with open source applications and tools

Experience working with open source and virtual networking technologies

Experience working with high performance 1/10/40GbE switches such as Force 10.

Experience with network protocol and communication design and optimization.

Security Engineer

Overview

  • A Cyber Security Engineer will have an analytical mind and a detailed understanding of cyber security methodologies.
  • Cyber Security Engineers are expected to have a meticulous attention to detail, outstanding problem-solving skills, work comfortably under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines.
  • The position requires an excellent understanding of technology infrastructures including Firewalls, VPN, Data Loss Prevention, IDS/IPS, Web-Proxy and Security Audits.
  • Position must be comfortable working with a variety of technologies, security problems and troubleshooting of the network.
  • The position will have a very high access profile and must maintain confidentiality of all information at their disposal.
  • This includes SSH keys, PHI data, user credentials and passwords, encryption and decryption keys, credit card data, company emails and financial information

Responsibilities

  • Engineer, implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks and information
  • Identify and define system security requirements.
  • Design computer security architecture and develop detailed cyber security designs.
  • Work with Cloud Engineers to configure and deploy log capture from all servers that hold PHI or have PHI process through it.
  • Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols.
  • Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices such as firewalls, Intrusion detection system, email scanning systems and DB Log servers
  • Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
  • Perform multiple vulnerability tests per year
  • Assess and audit security incident management process and make changes as necessary to maintain compliancy.
  • Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancements
  • Participate and/or lead annual security audits (SOC1, SOC2, HITrust).
  • Point of contact for all Security Incidents from a technical perspective
  • Author Reason for Outage (RFO) documents as needed
  • Maintain the highest level of Confidentiality as a highly trusted associate.

Requirements

  • Five to seven years proven work experience as a System Security Engineer or Information Security Engineer
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery, computer forensic tools, technologies and methods
  • Experience in building and maintaining security systems
  • Detailed technical knowledge of database and operating system security
  • Hands on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc.
  • Experience with network security and networking technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools
  • Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols
  • Familiarity with web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols
  • Hands on knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies and methods
  • Ability to communicate network security issues to peers and management
  • Ability to read and use the results of mobile code, malicious code, and anti-virus software
  • Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, CEH or CISM desired
  • BS degree in Computer Science or related field
