Position Summary:

  • The Manager Visual Concept is responsible for the creative conceptualization and development of on-brand, innovative seasonal floorset and special projects that inform total fleet.
  • These concepts support the branding message and business strategies and create exciting shopping environments that drive sales.
  • The Manager will closely with VP Creative, Product Design, Creative Development and Marketing to interpret themes and designs into presentation concepts for store design and visual interiors.
  • They should be a visual storyteller with a full understanding of 360 omnichannel marketing campaigns and how they translate to the in-store experience.
  • The Manager should keep up-to-date on trends in fashion, marketing, social and the retail arena and should continually promote ideas and concepts which elevate the brand accordingly. 
  • Knowledge of innovative materials and production techniques as well as extensive experience in product merchandising and display are critical to success in this role.
Responsibilities:
  • Devise, implement and execute creative visual merchandising strategies that support the business goals of the VS fleet.
  • Develop concepts through the support of swipe, illustrations and 2D rendering.
  • Present and recommend in-store creative ideas and solutions to VS NewCo Leaders: Victoria’s Secret CEO, Creative Director, EVP and VP Visual Merchandising.
  • Constantly conceptualize new and creative in store display and merchandising ideas to drive out of the box thinking.
  • Conceive and execute on cross-brand concepts to support product launches and seasonal marketing campaigns.
  • Partner with Creative Director of in-store marketing to inform needs for photography prior to photo shoots.
  • Conceptualize omnichannel in-store/pop-up experiences that connect digital and stores.
  • Collaborates with Visual/Store Design to influence the conceptualization of prototype development on new fuxtures and on-brand visual displays and merchandising.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of in-store marketing and how customers navigate the in-store experience to ensure strategic alignment of creative concepts and effective marketing materials.
  • Regularly research emerging retail brands, fashion trends and technology to incorporate in VS’s visual merchandising presentation strategy.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in brand visual merchandising in order to elevate the customer experience and drive sales.
  • Create - initiate and promote ideas that promote the brand narrative and drive the business.
  • Lead - be able to lead leaders, be a leader with peers and manage up.
  • Articulate – excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Project Manage – able to plan, prioritize, organize and delegate work effectively.
  • Inspire - Pulls swipe and trend ideas for use on mood boards.
  • Influence – Demonstrate the ability to influence key stakeholders at all levels of influence.
  • Proven strength in problem analysis and decision-making.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, Deign or related area preferred
  • 7+ years managing complex creative projects
  • Proven ability to create, interpret and implement Visual Merchandising concepts
  • High level of influencing capability 
  • Excellent collaboration skills 
  • Proven ability to meet aggressive deadlines and juggle multiple priorities 
  • Strong organizational, planning and project management skills 
  • Experience leading, developing, motivating and managing talent 
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communications skills 
  • Computer skills: MS Office Suite, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe in Design and Adobe Photoshop
