  • Job functions may include database architecture/modelling, optimization, security, and administration.
  • Big data development, ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) development, data warehousing, data provisioning.
  • Analyze current business practices, processes and procedures as well as identifying future business opportunities for leveraging data storage and retrieval.
  • Scripting SQL or other data markup to help support development of Analytics and Applications that build on top of data.

Team and Team size:

  • 1 Scrum Master; 6 – 8 Developers / QE; 2 BSAs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Understanding Business requirement and system/Application Analysis.
  • Create source to target mapping specifications
  • Develop TDD (Technical Design Document)
  • Develop, enhance, and integrate data marts and business intelligence solutions using Datastage, Teradata, TWS and Linux platform
  • Build Test scenarios, test cases and automation suites to execute scripts and publish results
  • Deploy and maintain Datamart/Reports 7. Write complex SQL statements to profile and analyze data
  • Work concurrently on several projects, each with specific instructions that may differ from project to project
  • Ensure that high quality work is carried throughout Agile development process
  • Design and implement efficient and effective functional design solutions
  • Work closely with the business and developers to ensure requirements are met.

Must Have

  • 8+ years in the software engineering profession with demonstrated success designing and building high-quality, commercial software applications.
  • 2+ years Java/J2EE software development experience with Spring framework
  • 5+ years ETL experience in developing processes including SQL and Datastage
  • 3+ years of experience with any database technologies like Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, etc
  • Experience working in Agile methodologies and DevOps concepts
  • Experience with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins
  • Experience with SQL performance tuning and data base tuning
  • Experience maintaining Dimensional Models, STAR schema, Snowflake and 3NF model
  • Experience with production deployment, production support and RCA business report issues
  • Experience providing scalable solutions for handling large data volumes
  • Experience working with business teams to understanding the problem and ability translate that into technical solutions
  • Experience in communicating with Business leads, IT leadership and also with junior team members
  • Experience in developing design specifications and unit test plans
  • Experience working with globally distributed team members

Good to have

  • Experience with APIs, Micro services and Service Oriented Architecture
  • Experience with XML/JSON and developing REST services
  • Exposure to distributed technologies (Kafka, Spark, Hadoop, Elastic Search)
  • Exposure to Elastic infrastructure solutions and deployment (Docker, OpenShift, Mesos)
  • Good understanding of NoSQL
  • Demonstrated success in adapting to design patterns and software engineering best practices


  • Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field
  • Experience in the health care industry
  • SQL Server/Oracle/No Sql Database/Snowflake

Working Time:

  • Standard hours 8am – 5 pm or 9am – 6 pm local time
