Projects the candidate will be working on:

  • Enterprise Work Delivery is a ServiceNow instance for work management, workforce optimization (tracking productivity data), and service center capabilities (frontline agent support) through integration with home-grown and vendor systems.
  • The goal of the Enterprise Work Router is to improve productivity and operational efficiency.

Ideal Background:

  • The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in ServiceNow, healthcare experience would be a plus because we do a lot of work with healthcare workflows.

Team and Team size:

  • The complete tech team is quite big but this engineer will be a part of Tech Titans.
  • There is a Product Owner, a Scrum Master, a Tech lead, one another developer and 2 SDETs in this team.

Top Responsibilities:

  • Handle ServiceNow development
  • Attend scrum calls and all scrum activities
  • Deliver work under tight deadlines
  • Able to manage workload of development, knowledge transfer, peer reviews and system health scans
  • Provide support on operational tasks and help the incident rotation team
  • Implement ServiceNow best practices in the solutions developed
  • Develop software that meets user story acceptance criteria
  • Follow good practice and good craftsmanship in code and configurations
  • Be able to explain how a given piece of code or a configuration works, and why Innovate for user experience
  • Thoughtfully apply automation to improve user efficiency
  • Support business partners in development and maintenance of system
  • Support production users through monitoring and working incident tickets
  • Attend daily standups to keep others informed of your progress and to collaborate with fellow team members
  • Ensure system is securely developed for reusability and resiliency
  • Ensure code and configuration support enterprise scalability
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to execute system integrations
  • Review API documentation to understand how to develop integrations with given APIs or systems

Skills/attributes Required

  • 3+ years ServiceNow development experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, especially initiative, adaptability and lateral thinking
  • Experience with troubleshooting issues in a live IT environment
  • Ability to quickly learn a new topic and be able to explain that topic to someone else Familiarity with common coding and database concepts, including tables, columns, records, queries, keyed arrays, software design, unit vs. system test, instanced objects, client/server and SCRUM
  • Excellent communication skills, especially being complete, precise and succinct in software design, software test and code commenting

Skills/attributes Preferred

  • Any programming experience other than ServiceNow would be a huge plus
  • Extensive experience with scripting in ServiceNow
  • Strong grasp over CSM, Service Portal, Service Catalog, Workflows and REST APIs

Working Time:

  • 6am Central to 4 pm Central (can be moved around a little but based on meetings)

Interview Process:

  • How many rounds? At least 2 and can also go to 3
  • Video, phone, or in person? Phone
  • How technical will the interviews be? They will get technical especially where ServiceNow's part is concerned, the candidate should have no problems in getting their hands dirty writing a code sample if asked.
