Description:
  • Currently recruiting a Direct Marketing Project Manager, who will manage the creation of direct marketing materials supporting credit card campaigns for various business lines.
  • The mediums are direct mail, email, and other forms of online acquisition communications as needed.
  • Program Managers are responsible for creative development through channel execution.
  • In addition to managing campaigns, this role may be asked to assist with managing vendors and envisioning new ways to manage campaigns more efficiently.
Additional responsibilities include:
  • Develops and manages the fulfillment of campaigns, including:
    • Creative design
    • Schedules
    • Production matrix
    • Deciphering and managing mail plans, tests, and offer strategies
    • Lettershop instructions
    • Estimates and invoices (against campaign budgets and expectations)
    • Campaign and package specifications
    • Internal approvals (Compliance, Business Line, Operations)
    • Coordinating with other Integrated Marketing teams on mail drops, email deployment, phone center readiness, and digital channel readiness;
  • Reviews and approves audits and proofs for all components;
  • Engineers print and email creative designs for cost, time, and production efficiency:
    • Influences creative designs to optimize vendor capabilities, response and bookings.
    • Shares best practices with peers
    • Investigates new formats, technologies and production methods proactively
    • Negotiates with vendors
    • Evaluates opportunities for driving response, and efficiency within and across business lines
    • Maintains understanding of channel influence on overall integrated marketing CPA
    • Reports on cost savings and efficiencies gained
  • Plans, optimizes, and improves future campaigns with a deep understanding of timelines:
    • Works on future campaigns while executing campaign in process
  • Initiates requests for bids and quotes and evaluates responses and responsible for invoicing, tracking costs, reconciliations, and final billing;
  • Maintains and establishes quality control standards and check points;
  • Manages vendor relationships by establishing and monitoring performance to recognized standards and effectively resolves production-related issues:
    • Holds vendors accountable for SLAs, accuracy, and quality standards
    • Assists with negotiating pricing based on business line volumes and volumes across acquisitions; and
  • Prioritizes deliverables based on revenue drivers.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Six or more years Direct Marketing experience, including:
    • Familiarity with working in a highly-regulated industry
    • Familiarity with CANSPAM
    • Understanding of basic credit, Finance 101, and risk fundamentals
    • Familiarity with large-scale print, email, and online processes and procedures
    • Familiarity with best practices in driving response rates
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Willingness to take on special projects outside of day-to-day scope
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with internal and external associates
  • Proven critical-thinking abilities
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and implement solutions for internal teams and external vendors
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
