General Position Summary:

  • The ETL Developer is responsible for supporting the information management architecture of the file data management in support of national and regional initiatives.
  • This role is responsible for extracting, transforming and loading data into data staging, and the data warehouse utilizing B2B platform.
  • This role will work closely with the data architect, data modeler, data analysts and other project team members to understand requirements regarding ETL design flows and data integration.
  • They will collaborate on definition, development, and maintenance of standards and processes.
  • The ETL Developer will develop ETL solutions following the well-defined data management design and development best practices.
  • Position reports to Manager - Data Management.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Consistently exhibit behavior and communication skills that demonstrate commitment to superior customer service, including quality, care and concern with each and every internal and external customer.
  • Meet with business and technical teams to discuss functional design concepts and alternatives necessary to meet requirements.
  • Optimize, develop and maintain data integration solutions using Informatica B2B Data Exchange and Informatica PowerCenter to connect legacy data stores, the data warehouse, and third-party platforms.
  • Develop and deploy ETL job workflows with reliable error/exception handling and rollback.
  • Take responsibility for data quality.
  • Understand the implications of technology and process changes on data quality; provide guidance to business and IT related to data quality.
  • Recommend processes and technologies that support high data quality.
  • Review Source to Target Mappings to create ETL processes and crosswalks.
  • Help define acceptance test objectives, test cases and assist in system and integration testing.
  • Assist in evaluating software change requests, which may involve conducting root cause analysis to confirm business need for changes and alternatives.
  • Partner with IT and Business teams to capture, track, and resolve data and reporting issues.
  • Use, protect, and disclose HCP patients protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.

Secondary Functions: Job Scope:

  • Job involves a high degree of complexity and multitasking.
  • Incumbent collaborates with team of professionals and is responsible for ensuring high level of quality work by applying team best practices and standards.
  • Duties are performed semi-independently with general management oversight. Decisions are made within established departmental guidelines, Errors in judgment or work performance could result in insufficient operation for the organization.

Team and Team size:

  • Team consists of 3 developers and 2 Data/Quality Analysts

Working Time:

  • 8a - 5p with some flexibility based on time zone

Interview Process:

  • How many rounds? Normally 2 rounds. First on phone with Manager and then technical panel interview.
