As a member of this team, you'll use modern software technologies in an agile/scrum environment and develop a deep understanding of our insurance products. Team members will work with Actuarial and IT teams during the product development process to understand new products, implement new and existing products in the platform, and support our Actuarial Admin Calc Testing team to provide fast, transparent, and automated calculation validations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with business partners throughout the product implementation lifecycle to understand new product features and testing requirements
  • Contribute to the full stack build of the administration system validation platform, including the product calculation engine, result repository, RESTful API, and web frontend (C#/ASP.NET, MongoDB, HTML, JavaScript)
  • Develop a framework for ongoing, automated testing of inforce contract values by developing interfaces with administration systems and test result processing/reporting
  • Expand automation of testing to increase the scope and frequency of testing efforts
  • Support QA and other system testers’ use of admin calc validation tools
  • Develop product expertise for all lines of business

Additional Information

Experience

  • 1+ years professional, academic, or hobbyist experience with full-stack web application development preferred
  • 1+ years experience in financial services or insurance industry preferred

Education

  • 4 year degree required: Computer science, actuarial science, math, physics, economics, engineering or related fields.
