POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Individual is responsible for writing copy that is consistent with the brand voice.
  • Partner with Merchants and Marketing to ascertain key messages.
  • Partner with Design, Graphic Production and Copy Coordination on creative projects.
  • Manage copy content from concept through final execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Understand brand projection and consistently deliver innovative, on-brand copy
  • Translate Merchant and Marketing initiatives into on-brand copy solutions
  • Write product copy for web product pages
  • Write display copy for either home/landing pages, interactive projects or print pieces
  • Interface and partner with Photo, Design, Graphic Production, Web and Coordination teams
  • Work with Editorial Manager to ensure copy is on-trend, on-brand, concise and compelling
  • Contribute to naming projects and creative brainstorming

 QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Creative fashion writer who understands the brand and is able to maintain voice consistency
    through all projects
  • Attuned to fashion, retail and publishing (blogs, social media, etc.)
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated, independent thinker that is able to partner across teams
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure
  • Strong verbal communication skills and ability to present creative ideas
  • Excellent proofreading skills and attention to detail, as well as a holistic vision

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications/Marketing or equivalent experience.
  • Presents creative concepts. 
  • Performs special writing projects as assigned.
  • 3-5  years fashion or agency copywriting experience.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Microsoft Office
  • Microsoft Word
