  • As a Sr. Experience Writer you will partner with teams of designers, researchers, strategists, product managers, and engineers to create compelling human-centered experiences across our digital ecosystem.
  • Your role will be pivotal in shaping and defining Client’s customer experiences, establishing how our brand voice comes to life across channels, and defining content strategies that center around customer needs.
  • You’ll participate in discovery efforts, communicate design intent, and advocate for continuously improving experiences.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Craft digital experiences that resonate and sing for our customers.
  • Work with experience designers, product managers, engineering leads, and business stakeholders to gain alignment on solutions and align customer and business needs.
  • Evangelize and educate teams about the practice of experience writing. Be ready to show its value at every turn with metrics, quality work, and good PR.
  • Ensure standard writing practice adherence and consistent experiences across our digital and physical touchpoints.
  • Bring a strategic view of current capabilities and functionality across digital channels and other customer touchpoints to every project to support the customer journey.
  • Leverage customer research, site metrics, and usability findings to support assertions, make recommendations, and drive strategy.
  • Define experience strategies that transcend individual product teams to ensure consistency across multi-channel experiences.
  • Present high-level solutions and strategies to product and/or project stakeholders, engineering leadership, and Experience Design leadership.
  • Support and facilitate research and testing activities.
  • Participate in and help lead UAT and launch support activities.
  • Engage in a culture of collaboration, feedback, and continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Current portfolio of work that demonstrates knowledge and skill in experience writing.
  • 2+ years of experience as an Experience Writer or Experience Designer specializing in writing, OR 6+ years in an Experience Writing-related role (e.g., Writer, Copywriter, Product Designer, Information Architect, Visual Designer, Interaction Designer, Researcher, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge of Experience Design principles and deliverables (e.g., designs, wireframes, prototypes, etc.).
  • Advanced ability to communicate writing and design concepts effectively, build consensus, and justify decisions.
  • Ability to work through complex design solutions and understand the technology behind those solutions.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects.
  • History of proactive communication, storytelling, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience balancing an Agile work environment and iterative product development while maintaining a cohesive and holistic view of the overall customer journey.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human-centered design, product design, human computer interaction, graphic design, information architecture, multimedia, communication, marketing, journalism, instructional design, related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 2+ years of experience working in e-commerce or other large, multi-channel design environment.
  • Strong skills in organizational savvy, ability to handle multiple efforts, attention to detail, relationship-building, strong communication skills, and high accountability.
  • Experience in envisioning, defining, and modeling end-to-end, multichannel customer experiences.
  • Be curious, collaborative, self-driven, self-aware, outgoing, and relationship-focused.
  • Basic understanding of designing for WCAG 2.1/508 accessibility standards.
  • Ability to seamlessly code-switch between communicating with highly technical teams and non-technical business teams.
