Role Summary

The Associate, Email Implementation will be responsible for developing and executing email channel campaigns and projects for the New York Life Direct division. This will include: validating scope and objectives, implementing HTML/CSS and set-up of workflows within our email platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Email Channel Manager in daily execution of email campaigns, with a heavy focus on quality control.
  • Build email templates for new launches and update existing templates as a result of changes in our business.
  • Experienced user of ESPs (preferably Adobe Campaign), including email coding and workflow set-up.
  • QA and approve email touchpoints to ensure creative content, links, and copy are correct
  • Perform UAT testing on new functionality and new campaign execution
  • Solid knowledge of email marketing analytics and ability to apply it to work assignments
  • Stays up to date with email marketing best practices, regulatory requirements and competitor activities

Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to design and implement campaign workflow orchestration, email delivery, and implement customization in workflow activities based on requirements
  • Troubleshoot any errors that occur with the campaign or with any of the technical workflows within Adobe Campaign
  • Self-starter, comfortable with navigating ambiguity, and passionate about driving change
  • Exceptional planning and project management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and operate with a sense of urgency
  • Analytical with the ability to partner with Performance Analytics to structure tests, develop reports and analyze findings as input into email program improvements
  • Email design best practices across desktop, mobile, and tablet and for ADA compliance
  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Excited to work in an organization with a flat leadership structure to empower specialized expertise
  • System/process oriented, problem solver, ability to manage multiple initiatives and balance the need to work strategically and hands-on

Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in email and digital marketing
  • Demonstrated familiarity with campaign management tools and/or ESP a must; (Experience with Adobe Campaign Classic a strong plus)
  • Strong HTML/CSS knowledge.
  • Ability to leverage Javascript within email templates to drive personalization
  • Provide QA for email design, templates, outbound email campaigns for flawless execution
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Proven ability to analyze data and report on results
  • Knowledge of email industry best practices: CAN-SPAM compliance, segmentation, performance metrics, etc.
