Projects the candidate will be working on:

  • We are creating front-end applications with UI/UX for direct-to-consumer business initiatives. We use node, react, etc for this part. We are creating microservices to power these front-end applications and sit over the data. We use Spring Boot Java for this in Azure Cloud.

Ideal Background:

  • There isn’t an ideal, really. In fact, variety in background adds diversity. If healthcare, cool but not specific.

Team and Team size:

  •  This candidate would be joining a team with 1 PM and 4 developers to make it 5 developers. We have an architect part time and a product owner that spans our team and an analogous team in India.

Top Responsibilities:

  •  - Microservice development
  • - Node development
  • - Documentation
  • - Unit and functional testing
  • - DevOps initiation
  • - Code review for coworkers

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience with Java
  • 4 years of experience with service or microservice development for a large-scale, high transaction solution (e.g with Java, Azure, .Net, Python, or AWS)
  • 3 years of experience with three or more supporting frameworks and technologies (Springboot, Node, React, Redux, NextJs, Material UI)
  • 3 years of experience with supporting public cloud technologies (Kafka, CosmosDB, Azure API gateway, Redis)
  • 3 years of Azure, AWS, Google Cloud or Oracle cloud (Azure and AWS are most desired for this requirement)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree or 4+ years of programming language experience in addition to the outlined requirements in lieu of degree.
  • CosmosDB or other NoSQL/Document DB system
  • Cloud computing
  • Azure experience
  • Kaftka
  • Maven
  • Azure API Management Gateway (APIM)
  • Redis Caching solution
  • Swagger/Open API, RESTful APIs
  • Relational databases
  • Able to work in a collaborative environment
  • Able to present ideas well

Working Time:

  •  Normal daytime working hours. 8-5 for the most part.

Interview Process:

  •  a. How many rounds? – 1 or 2, depending on availability of interviewers or need to follow up following the first interview. Typically decision can be made in 1 interview.
  • b. Video vs. phone? – Video preferred but not required, can be satisfied with a Teams meeting
